TeamDrive, the professional DropBox?

TeamDrive provides a Dropbox-like approach to cloud storage for the enterprise that is highly secure (the only one with a digital data protection seal of approval), easy to use and flexible enough to allow storage in the cloud and, unlike other approaches, also on company owned and managed servers.

What is TeamDrive and how does it work? Here is a short video that explains what it is all about:

TeamDrive Systems, a German-based company, specializes in software for secure synchronization and collaboration over the Internet. The company provides a secure scalable platform and services which enable millions of business users to sync, share and collaborate beyond company borders. Their software runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

Total privacy, maximum security and full self-administration for individuals are fundamentals of the development and comprise their design principles — the system should also be easy to use. Furthermore, they combine cloud computing (private and public) with a free choice of servers, delivering cost-effective scalability and independency.

The TeamDrive client watches folders in the file system and enables automatic synchronization, versioning and encryption on the basis of private, collaborative workspaces. Documents or office files, photos, music, videos, etc., can always be accessed, even when offline. Combined with robust and scalable TeamDrive services, the firm claims this enables secure cross-company as well as cross-platform collaboration.

Really really slow app syncronizing and it consumes a lot of the pc resources. I tried it because you can download it as a portable app, but it was a time waste.
